SpiritUAL MUSINGS: Prayer Cloth

Larry N. returned to church Sunday. He had been in the hospital for weeks, starting off with heart bypass surgery. The prayer team had prayed for him while holding a prayer cloth which we splashed with fragrant anointing oil. We have been praying for people outside the fellowship for six years, sending prayer cloths as a symbol of our prayers. Larry said that he kept his prayer cloth on his chest except for the time he was in surgery. His recovery was touch and go. He remembers that one time he left his body and was "on his way out," floating above his body. He remembers that he could smell the oil on the cloth and that is what brought him back into his body. The prayer cloth continued to keep him grounded and knowing where he was.
